Wall Equity Residency

 

Wall Equity - The wall equity residency incorporates reading, art, physical activity, community empowerment, math, and design skills into an 8-30 week program. Students learn about design, stencil creation, color wheels, and mapping to create a mural. Then, kids work with the community to raise awareness and bring volunteers to help paint. Students learn what it takes to cleanup a neighborhood and revitalize a community.

 

 

 

Garden Equity Residency

 

In our garden equity residency students create a flower or vegetable garden in their school or in their local community. They learn how to research soil, research sustainable plants, and seed development to create a healthy garden. Then, students get help from their local community to help plant the garden.
